Chances are you’ve already heard of Aion. Released back in September, it was touted as the biggest massively multiplayer online game launch of the year. At nearly 450,000 preorders, it started off a little rocky (what MMO doesn’t?) and publisher NCsoft had to employ a 16,000-player ban-fest back in November. With upgrades to the game’s already-stunning graphics engine slated for 2010, Aion is a strong contender as MMO-of-choice under the tree this holiday season.

A new CCP Games developer blog offers more information about changes coming to the company’s sci-fi MMO, EVE Online, with the release of the Dominion expansion later this year. This time the information update offers a glimpse of some of the behind the scenes changes to the game’s application programming interface.

Ndoors also introduces an all-new mercenary – Raging Wind, the boy druid – which players at level 100 and above can recruit to defend the tribe against the wave of invading forces.

As a game receives members continually, many distinct fanarts will spurt out. But unlike the concepts produced by official designers, players’ arts are of great variety and reveals an intense sympathetic feeling. They begin to interact with the game.
